Breakfast The Local Saratoga

Now that I no longer live within a mile of all my friends and am therefore no longer involved in Sunday Dinners, Sundays seem like a good day to talk about brunch. Kiyo and I ate brunch once at The Local in Saratoga, an Irish pub and teahouse that offers affordable, “homestyle” comfort food (you can read their extremely long “About” page here). I ordered the “Irish Open,” two over-easy eggs and sliced tomato on an English muffin, topped with cheddar and served with bacon and home fries. I think the potatoes might have come from a package but I’ll be honest, they were delicious. The Local has a nice selection of organic teas so obviously, I had to try the one (unfortunately, since this was awhile ago I don’t remember which I had).

The Local Saratoga Fish & Chips

Kiyo had the fish and chips, which came with french fries and coleslaw. I don’t like fish, but it still looked good. The comfy, inviting and clean pub atmosphere can’t be beat and I would definitely recommend The Local.
