Since I just can’t get enough of summer, here’s another Martha’s Vineyard post. Actually, when we were en route to the Vineyard this year it was chilly and raining; not a promising start to a summer weekend. This view was from my car as we waited to board the ferry.
It was still gloomy when we got across so we decided a cozy brunch was in order, and headed straight to nearby Artcliff Diner. Maggie ordered some sort of hash and Chelsea had a scramble with cheddar cheese, mushrooms and spinach.
Maggie, Zan and I came here last year with Zan’s parents, so we knew it was good. This time I cleaned my plate, it was just so perfectly delicious. This crêpe was topped with a spinach egg-scramble and crispy pancetta, with salty Parmesan inside. We left ready for a nap and that’s exactly what we did. When we woke up it was like we’d landed in wonderland or Oz; it was bright and sunny with not one cloud in sight!
